Highly recommended new-small--modern designed-centrally located boutique hotel, with tastiest homemade cakes and cookies for breakfast! Excellent location: a 10-minute walk to the Duomo, this boutique hotel is in the very heart of Milan, a short walking distance to the best shopping areas; very close to museums, restaurants, bars etc. truly central ... Staff: extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. Hotel design is all about modern, minimalistic, simple, state of the art and discretely luxurious; warm modern internal design clashes beautifully with the 100+ year old retained architectural features of the original building; the 100 year old lift (open cage: perfect for claustrophobics! :) was retained and has been renovated as new; enormous original wooden crafted gates, more than a 100 years old, were also retained and are other architectural features. At the same time, you will find 2 Egg modern armchairs (Arne Jacobsen) etc.... The room was very spacious, by any standard, especially European standards! The design of the room is absolutely beautiful: solid wood parquet, Cappellini bed, Artemide desktop lamp, Kartell Stools, etc. state of the art lighting system, new ac system, new top quality double glazed windows, etc ... natural, organic toiletries.... Lightning-speed super fast internet connection that works everywhere in hotel, and for free! 2 lcd tv screens in the room ... ! Breakfast was tasty: delicious homemade cakes and cookies, fresh fresh tasty Mediterranean fruits, croissants and the usual juices, cornflakes, etc... (Did not try room service as I was out all the time) Highly recommended ....
If you like to design of the rooms, it may well cost you many throusands of dollars re-decorating and re-furnishing your own bedroom to look and have the same feel as that of Palazzo Segreti's ... :)
the design was great, very artistic and out of the ordinary, but it's not good for a long stay .. the hotel staff was amazing and helpful beyound imagination,, extremely nice people i cant thank them enough.. they never hesitated to help even it wasn't of their business!
the sheets were Not clean .. we found spots of blood on the pillows! should have called them but i didn't!
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel! Nice modern design with icons such as the egg and the swan from Arne Jacobsen. The hotel is located on a smaller street which means it is quiet during nights, but still very central (5 minutes walk from the dome). Breakfast – which some other criticized in the evaluation – was fairly good, if the standard Italian hotel breakfast is used as a benchmark. Very helpful and kind staff.
No, everything was great!
Great location, nice staff, great breakfast
The rooms were nice, but the beds were uncomfortable and it was hard to find the place.
Design, Staff, Cleanliness, Location, Room size, Free Wi Fi, Espresso.
Would have liked some more catering options. Limited Tv Channels in English.
Palazzo Segreti was the best ever accommodation experience for us in Italy, and one of the best we have ever seen overall. The whole experience was marvellous commencing the moment we arrived at the reception; the professionalism and politeness of all the staff, the beautiful art-deco style and the great concept, the location and the peaceful feeling as we walked into our room. Everything was perfect, thank you Palazzo Segreti making our stay in Milan such a memorable one, we certainly will come back.
The entrance is almost so discreet that you could walk right past without noticing it is there. An excellent hotel, designed to a minimalist theme almost to within an inch of its life. The design never gets in the way of the comfort and convenience. Great staff and the location is excellent for the centre. There is a very good restaurant, Andry, just around the corner, away from the expensive tourist eateries on Via Dante. Will certainly stay there when in Milan again.
The overwhelming brown walls and ceiling of the reception and breakfast room - and one of the rooms (ask not to have that one) - is for me taking the mono-colour theme a bit too far. But it's a talking point.
The staff is really helpful and nice. The room is beautiful, clean and very confortable. The location could'nt be better. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see.
Breakfast is good but could be a bit better, for the price.
Room design and comfort, excellent location, friendly atmosfere
Air conditioning was not working during two days, no kleenex in bathrooms, no blackout curtains
The staff was excelent. It was the best hotel within the four stars category in Italy. The team is worried and careful with every single detail.
This hotel is new (March 2011) and the location is fantastic because you can walk to the historic centre (Duomo) in minutes. The rooms are good and the staff is very attentive and available.
The breakfast could be more diversified in terms of salted because it has no cheese, sausage or ham included (only butter or jam). The elevator is very small as a result of the building to be an ancient Palace, and the color of the walls if it were clearer I think would benefit the hotel in terms of architecture and light (becomes darker notwithstanding the modern design).
The hotel was able to arrange an early check in for me after a long international flight. This was very impressive for a small hotel. The location of the hotel was very convenient.
There was no writing desk in the room, which made it harder to work at a computer.
Very nice room, excellent location for central Milan. Very courteous staff.
Breakfast could be better, limited choice of food and average quality for Italy.
From the discreet entrance to the subdued design and excellent staff Palazzo Segreti is amazing! We loved everything about it! Such a refreshing place to be after a lot of 'usual' Italian hotels!
Excellent place, and friendly staff. very modern and unique style
Enterance of the Hotel is very difficult to notice and find
